Holistic health studies the whole body and the interdependence of all the parts - mental, physical, spiritual and emotional. Holistic health supports preventative health care and works on healing the causes of the dis-ease as well as the symptoms. |

How can learning about holistic health help me? |
The more we know about ourselves and our own health - mental, emotional, physical and spiritual - the more information we have to make informed choices about how we can live a healthy, happy life. By learning to listen to our own bodies we can decide what we can to do to be healthy. For instance if you you know you have a predisposition for diabetes, you can choose an appropriate diet now rather than needing insulin in the future. |

What is the difference between holistic health and conventional health? |
Holistic health emphasizes preventive health care, making healthy lifestyle choices, such as nutritious diet, exercise, stress management, increased health consciousness, and deeper access to our inner wisdom. Holistic health approaches often include alternative and complementary therapies such as acupuncture, massage and yoga. Conventional health, works to cure and/or alleviate symptoms of illness with medication, surgery or other means. |

The optimal approach to promoting health is to utilize both modalities, holistic and conventional, as appropriate. The more information we have about our choices of therapies the better chance we have to be healthy. |

Will living a holistically healthy lifestyle prevent me from getting a life threatening disease? |
No. However implementing healthy lifestyle choices such as nutritious eating, exercising, managing stress while you are well, can lessen the seriousness of some diseases. In addition maintaining a holistically healthy lifestyle leaves you better prepared to handle and recover from a serious illness should it occur. |

Will this seminar tell me I have to give up drinking, smoking and all the foods I like in order for me to be healthy? |
No. The purpose of the seminar is to give you a wide range of choices so you decide what you want to incorporate into your lifestyle to be healthy. While eating more fruits, veggies, whole grain and lean meat promotes optimal, it is always your choice. |
